The bedrock of any academic institution is the quality of its faculty and in this, AFMI is at the forefront.

The AFMI faculty is a healthy blend of academicians, policy makers, administrators, entrepreneurs, researchers, theoreticians, consultants and managers to deliver the knowledge, skills and realities of the corporate world. The institute draws upon the best from the academia, industry and other organizations. As a consequence, our students are able to get a rich mix of state-of-the-art academic research as well as best practices from industry. The rich diversity of their backgrounds instills in the students a continuous desire to achieve excellence.

AFMI's faculty members have contributed to state-of-the art research through papers published in leading international journals. They have also contributed articles to leading business magazines and newspapers. Finally, many faculties have converted their rich experience into books.

The faculty willingly submit themselves to a unique, rigorous, open, and continuous process of appraisal and feedback from the students. This enables the faculty to fine tune course contents and delivery mechanisms. Through a variety of committees, faculties play a hands-on role in the governance of the Institute and assume total ownership of collective decisions. They are the principal drivers of change through their direct involvement in every aspect of the Institute.

The AFMI has a unique portfolio faculty model that accommodates a mix of accomplished permanent faculty, visiting faculty and guest faculty. Even senior visiting faculty members from our associate institutions and industry play a key role in the academic programmes and research at the AFMI. In consultation with the permanent faculty, they actively engage in formulating the curriculum, attracting the best faculty to the School, mentoring junior faculty, and providing direction to research in the relevant subject areas. Permanent faculty members at AFMI have graduated from the best universities and have published in leading academic journals in their respective fields. The institution provides a vibrant education environment for and benefits from the visiting scholars it hosts every year.

A perfect balance is maintained in the knowledge given to the students through the permanent faculty and the visiting faculty. As the permanent faculty look to developing the fundamentals in the student, the visiting faculty bring in the latest changes and information affecting the world outside.
